Keep Fort Bend Beautiful, under the guidance of Fort Bend Green, has been researching county-owned properties throughout 2022 to plant wildflowers in areas that would be beneficial to both the public and the County Parks Department. With the drought earlier in 2022 hampering the availability of quality wildflower seeds, the committee has decided to plant one patch in the fall of 2022 at Kitty Hollow Park, along Highway 6 in Missouri City. This “patch” will encompass 5 acres near the entrance. Keep on the lookout for the blooming wildflowers in spring 2023!
