The Jones Creek Ranch, formally known as Gordon Ranch, located in Fort Bend County on FM 359 came in to the possession of Fort Bend Green in 2012. County Judge Bob Hebert along with Fort Bend Green contacted the former properties owner, Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, about the interest in selling the property.

The Jones Creek Ranch is a beautiful 112-acre ranch located at 7714 FM 359, Richmond, Texas 77469, and is used for public rental for special events.

Fort Bend Green worked with the property owners and negotiated a price, which facilitated funding sources so the property would become a County Park at no expense to the County. The contract for the purchase of Jones Creek Ranch had a deadline or the purchase would not be completed. Fort Bend Green successfully found funding sources to meet the deadline.

During this process Fort Bend Green became aware that the YMCA was looking for County Park property to use for its programs. For a small fee, Fort Bend Green facilitated a Memorandum of Understanding between the YMCA and Fort Bend County where YMCA would staff and maintain the Jones Creek Ranch to use for YMCA programs. The Park would also be available to County Residents for a fee, similar to the current usage at that time of the facility.

After the Fort Bend County took possession of the property the name was changed from Gordon Ranch to Jones Creek Ranch Park. The park is still used for public rental for special events, in addition to the YMCA use for summer camp activities.
